1. Who We Are

Tenzing Digital is an AI advisory and implementation consultancy based in Dublin, Ireland. When we refer to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Tenzing Digital.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number, and business name when you contact us or book a consultation
  • Communication records — emails, messages, and notes from our conversations
  • Website usage data — aggregated, anonymised analytics (pages visited, referrer, country, device type). We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track or fingerprint individual visitors. Where cookie-based analytics are enabled, these are used only with your consent
  • Chat widget messages — if you use our on-site AI chat assistant, your messages are processed to generate responses. A copy of each conversation is sent to Tenzing Digital by email so we can review how the assistant is answering and improve it. If you choose to leave your details through the chat, we also store your name, contact details and that conversation in our client records so we can follow up on your enquiry. Please do not type sensitive personal information into the chat

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To send you information you've requested about our services
  • To improve our website and services
  • To comply with legal obligations

We will never sell your data to third parties. We will never use your data for purposes unrelated to our services without your explicit consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the following bases:

  • Consent — when you voluntarily contact us, submit a form, or use our chat widget
  • Legitimate interest — to respond to enquiries and deliver our services
  • Contractual necessity — to fulfil our obligations under a service agreement

5. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

  • Service providers — hosting, email, and analytics tools that help us operate (e.g., Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless site measurement, and Google Analytics where enabled). All providers are GDPR-compliant or operate under adequate safeguards.
  • AI service providers — our chat widget uses Anthropic's Claude API. Messages sent through the chat are processed by Anthropic under their data processing terms. No personally identifiable information is required to use the chat; leaving your details is optional.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Typically:

  • Enquiry data: 12 months after last contact
  • Client project data: duration of engagement plus 6 years (Irish tax requirements)
  • Chat widget messages: not stored in the browser beyond the session. Emailed transcripts are kept for up to 90 days unless you have left your details, in which case the enquiry retention period applies

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — limit how we process your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

8. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies. We do not use tracking cookies without your consent. Essential cookies (required for the website to function) do not require consent under GDPR.

Our primary site analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is deliberately cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and does not follow you across sites, so it requires no consent. It reports only aggregate figures such as page views, referrers and general location.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC), Ireland's supervisory authority:
